 Thinkers Keys (Tony Buzan)

This photocopiable book is free to download, print and use in the classroom.  Based around Buzan’s 20 Thinkers Keys these fun and creative ideas will help to develop pupils creative and critical thinking classrooms. The keys can be used linked to specific topics or in isolation.


Habits of Mind (Art Costa)

Habits of Mind are the characteristics of what intelligent people do when they are confronted with problems, the resolutions to which are not immediately apparent. A Habit of Mind is a pattern of intellectual behaviours that leads to productive actions. It is a composite of many skills, attitudes, cues and past experiences. Art Costa identifies 16 dispositions including persistence, striving for accuracy and finding humour.

Six Thinking Hats (Edward deBono)

De Bono has developed several different techniques for developing creative thinking including most recently his 6 Hats Thinking model representing; optimism/positives, information and data gathering, critique/judgement and creative alternatives.
